The town where we were born and grew up holds forever a special place in our hearts. With its beauty and despair due to wild industrialisation, Taranto remains the place where I moved my first steps in life and photography alike. And over time, despite having spent there the first 36 years of my life and despite regular visits, with awe I still find new angles to photograph, intertwining its history and places with my personal journey of discovery.
